Salient Features of E-Bedroll Services

For the convenience of travelling public, IRCTC has introduced E-bedroll services. All bonafide passengers having valid PNR can book for a takeaway bedroll kit on payment basis.

The services can be availed on www.irctctourism.com.

Takeaway bedroll kits will be available in two variants:-

Variant 1 = Cotton bed sheets (02 nos.) and a pillow (01 no.) (Packed in a bag)
Variant 2= Blanket (01 no.) (Packed in a bag)

The services would be PNR based and the bedroll will be available either through online booking on IRCTC website (pre-paid option only) or across the counter sale (cash) at IRCTC outlets on the stations. The bedroll booked online would be provided to the passenger on their seat/berth. Passengers will have an option of booking either of the two variants available or both. The maximum of bedrolls allowed to be booked per passenger will be two (one each of either variant).

The kits being takeaway, passengers can take this kit with them after journey ends. One number 1323 (06:00 AM to 22:00 PM) will be operational for information about the services to the passengers.

Details of the E-Bedroll services:-

1. Place order for E-Bedroll A bonafide passenger having the confirmed E-Ticket/I-Ticket/Counter ticket, may place order for Bedroll online. The online order may be placed by using the platform provided via IRCTC website, www.irctctourism.com

3. Timing The services will only be available during 06:00 hrs till 22:00 hrs except Mumbai Central (BCT) Station. For Mumbai Central (BCT) Station, services only be available during 10:00 hrs till 18:00 hrs. For late running trains IRCTC reserves the right to not deliver the bedroll. Such orders will be treated as Non Delivered orders
4. Booking Charges NIL. The bank charges for booking transaction as well as cancellation (if any ) will be borne by the passenger.
5. Cancellation Policy Any cancellation or amendments in the order already placed by the passenger shall be permitted only up to 05 hours prior to schedule departure of train. Thereafter, no cancellation/amendments shall be permitted and no request for refund on this ground shall be entertained even in case of late running of trains.
6. Advanced Reservation Period 60 Days till up to 05 hrs. before the schedule departure of train.
7. Cancellation/Amendment Any cancellation and/or amendment before 05 hrs of schedule departure of train will levy 20% cancellation charge. Any cancellation and/or amendment within 05 hrs of schedule departure of train will levy 100% cancellation charge. No refund will be allowed in this case for whatsoever reason.
8. Non delivery In case of Non Delivery by IRCTC, Passenger will be refunded back the 100% amount. However, the bank charges for online transaction will be borne by the passenger.
9. Return/Resale Bedroll kits are supposed to be taken along by the passenger. Passengers too are not allowed to resell it.
10. Denial to accept at the time of delivery Passengers will not be entitled for refund, if decline to accept the delivery for any reason whatsoever.
11. Refund Refund (if any) will only be made to the same account/instrument from which the payment was made. No requests to refund in cash or to another account will be entertained.
12. Confirmation The orders booked will be confirmed by a confirmation mail and SMS only. No separate bill/invoice will be provided at the time of delivery.
13. AC Coaches In case passenger travelling by AC coaches and booked e-bedroll will have no claim to the refund of the cost of returnable bedroll provided in the trains.
